| Studied in the artistic studio of V. I. Mushketov in Smolensk (1908), at the stroganov School (from 1912) then in the studios of Fedor Rerberg and Ilya Mashkov in Moscow (1915-16), under Peter Konchalovsky at theSvomas (1917) and under David shterenberg at the VKhUTEMAS in Moscow (1922-24). Participant in exhibitions from 1921. Founding member of the Society of Easel Painters (1925). Taught at the Ekaterinburg Art Institute (1920-21), VKhUTEMAS (from 1924) and at the Krupskaya Communist Academy in Moscow (1926). | ||||||
