GRIGORYEV, Boris Dmitrievich
b.1886, Moscow; d.1939, Cannes-sur-Mer, France
Studied at the Stroganov School in Moscow under D. Shcherbinovsky (1903-07) and at the Academy in St. petersburg under A.Kisiliov (1907-12). From 1912 to 1914 worked in the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris. Participant in exhibitions: Impressionists (St. Petersburg, 1909), Fellowship of Independents (St. Petersburg, 1912-13), World of Art (1913-18) etc. Lived and worked in St. Petersburg/Petrograd until 1919 then abroad, mainly in France and the USA. Taught in art schools in Santiago, Chile, and New York (1920-1930s).
