Studied at Odessa Art School (1903-07) then in the Free Russian Academy (the Vasilyeva Academy) in Paris(1910-11). Participant in exhibitions from 1906: Fellowship of South-Russian Artists (1910), Salon of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris (1911), World of Art(1913, 1915-16), Union of Youth (1913-14), 0.10 (1915),Knave of Diamonds (1916), Spider (Paris, 1925), Young Europe (Paris, 1932), Association of Revolutionary Artists(Paris, 1934-35). Taught in the Studio of M. D. Bernstein in Petrograd (1915-16), at the Petrograd Svomas (1918-20). From 1918 to 1921 worked in the Fine Arts Department of Narkompros, and in 1923 at 1NKhUK. |
